The first set definitely had its high points - I remember the 'Mozambique' was especially locked in. And the 'Sign Sealed Delivered' was a night way to draw in a big first set, similar in total song numbers as the night before.
The second set started off big and just raged. The 'Sand > Quadrophonic was just killer, and was the second time and last time (to date) that 'Quadrophonic was ever been performed live. It was a small fact not lost on me and my buddy that were both at Cypress, which was of course the only other time it was played.
We were antsy to see what would happen for the encore, with Gordeaux's appearance the previous night. We were very, very lucky to be treated to the solo rendering of 'Strawberry Fields Forever' which is certainly one of my fondest TAB memories. If you are a fan of the Beatles, hear this debut version for sure.
